We will pass your email address onto Absolute Bobbins who will contact you to finalise any further choices you need to make. Sewing slots will be allocated once you have completed this step. The balance payment will be made directly to Absolute Bobbins, as will any further discussions about your order. Absolute Bobbins babywearing bags can be customised to suit your individual needs, but this is what you get with every bag as standard.
- The main body of the bag is approx 30cm x 30cm x 16cm. All bags ordered directly via Firespiral will need to be made in this size only. If you would like a larger size then you can contact Absolute Bobbins directly to discuss your needs.
- Zip fastening main compartment
- An external pocket that runs the full width of the bag
- A wide, adjustable wrap cloth strap that fastens with 2 metal sling rings
- A backpack strip on the base, so that you can easily convert the bag from single to double strap
- Two small internal pockets
- External bottle pocket
- Integral metal key clip inside the main compartment Any extra customisation on top if the standard bag will be charged as extra. You will pay a deposit to us, and the remaining balance to Absolute Bobbins when your bag is ready to be sewn. The shipping cost you pay to us is part of your total deposit, not an added charge. By paying the deposit, you are committing to placing an order with Absolute Bobbins. The deposit is non-refundable if you choose not to go ahead with the bag. Firespiral cannot guarantee timescales for production. Once you have paid the deposit you need to book a slot on the Absolute Bobbins website. As this is a bespoke item, you will be required to pay the balance to her upfront. Woven Wrap Sizing
Wrap sizes don’t work in the same way as clothing.
Size numbers refer to the length of the woven wrap- the larger the number, the longer the wrap.
Each size is 50cm (20”) longer than the previous size.
SIZE 1 = 2.2M (7’2”)
SIZE 2 = 2.7M (8’8”)
SIZE 3 = 3.2M (10’ 8”)
SIZE 4 = 3.7M (12’)
SIZE 5 = 4.2M (13’8)
SIZE 6 = 4.7M (15’4”)
SIZE 7 = 5.2M (17’)
SIZE 8 = 5.7M (18’7”)
SIZE 9 = 6.2M (20’3”)
Each length offers different options for tying, so there isn’t a single size that will ‘fit you.
Your body size will determine how big a wrap you need for tying each specific carry. For example, the Front Wrap Cross Carry is a popular starter carry. Some people will be able to use a size 6 for this carry, but others may need a longer (or shorter) wrap depending on their body and baby size.

Our Ponchos are one size. Height is a bigger factor than dress size when it comes to fit, and they will fit most bodies under 6′ tall! Our website sends an email once we have marked your order as completed but sometimes these emails don’t make it through to your inbox.
If you have an account with us you can check your order status by logging in. A “completed” status means that your order has been shipped. You can also view your tracking number here.
If we are making anything to order for you then we might mark your order on “hold” while we sew it. This is just to help us stay organised at our end of things!
We are happy to add phone numbers or specific details/instructions to your parcel- you can include them in your shipping address or add them in the comments box when you order. We cannot guarantee that your local postal service will follow any specific instructions.

My bag came left shouldered – this is worth considering because the front pocket on the bag is an organisational lifesaver, and good to make sure it is on the front for the correct side!

I have several Absolute Bobbins bags (in colours to match my coats 🤭) and cannot recommend them enough. I find them to be really spacious and useful with lots of pockets. They’re really thoughtfully designed, both if you buy ready made or have a custom order. Alison kept in touch regularly and sent great photos showing all my options for customising the bag (ring colour, zip colour etc). She also made my bag super fast! I love that you can turn it into a backpack – I used mine this way when hiking if I wasn’t wrapping that day, and as long as you balance your bag contents I find it more comfortable than my actual hiking pack. I really recommend these bags!
