Verglas Midnight Midwinter: Wrap Database

Weft Name: Verglas
Warp Name: Midnight
Design Name: Midwinter
GSM: 300
Weave Structure: Alchemy
Average Width: 68cm
Blend: 70% Cotton, 25% Merino, 5% Linen
Related Wraps: Whinlatter Midnight Birch Trees has the same warp. Crystalline Twilight Midwinter is a very similar looking wrap.
Wrapping Qualities: Dense and blankety in hand, with a fluffy softness after a few washes and a little wear. Verglas works well in both single pass and multi-layer carries. For a heavier weight wrap, it is not too bulky and can be used to make fancy finishes fairly easily.
Care Requirements: Hand wash or machine wash on a wool specific program. Use a ph neutral delicates/wool detergent.
Notes: The 3 yarns that make up this weft have all been used separately before. The pearly grey cotton/merino blend yarn is Galena, The pink merino wool with the coloured flecks is Calluna, and the mint green Irish Ross linen has been used on its own in 2013 as Winter Twilight Seafoam and alternated with cotton as Zora
