This is a £20 non-refundable deposit for a king sized (160cm x 220cm) Cheery Rainbow Starmap blanket, made from recycled cotton. The rainbow runs through pinks to teals against a cream background. The finished blankets will have yellow coloured blanket stitching round the edges.
*This is a re-weave of the recent cheery starmap blankets. The images here are of the previous, smaller blankets and are just used for illustration. Our luxuriously heavyweight, thick and fluffy blankets easily fit a double bed but are also useful for covering settee and chairs, snuggling up under on cold afternoons, building dens with and spreading on the ground as play or picnic mats. You will get plenty of use out of them and they’ll become part of your family for years to come!
These blankets are woven in England from recycled cotton to reduce their environmental impact, meaning that they are labelled as 75% cotton, 25% other materials.
After weaving, the surface is brushed to give a soft, fluffy effect where the individual yarns blend together to create a single surface. The blankets are then cut, sewn by a seamstress and blanket stitched round the edges. All of these processes happen here in Lancashire, close to Firespiral HQ to keep our carbon footprint as low as possible. These blankets measure 160cm by 220cm and weigh approximately 1.8kg. We recommend that you machine wash on a cool wash, they can also be tumble dried.
The balance will be payable when the blankets have been woven and are ready to post out. The blankets will cost £114 in total. This price includes the £20 deposit that you’ve already paid.. If you are in Europe we can send ‘duty paid’ where you pay all taxes and fees upfront at checkout so as not to incur any charges on delivery.
We will email you with a link to pay the balance at this point. We cannot guarantee the timescale for the blanket production- we do not anticipate these blankets to be ready until the end of 2023. We’ll give you a more accurate date as soon as we have one from the mill. If we are informed of a delay in production we will send you an updated time scale via email. You can purchase a preorder slot by paying your deposit at any point up until the blankets are ready to post out. One all the slots are claimed we can’t take any further pre-orders.
Should you wish to, you may transfer your deposit to another person without penalty. We do not need to be informed of the change, and you will still receive the email with the link to pay the balance. You will need to forward this to whoever is taking your place in the pre-order. They will need to put your name and your preorder deposit order number in the comments as proof that they are taking your place.
Woven Wrap Sizing
Wrap sizes don’t work in the same way as clothing.
Size numbers refer to the length of the woven wrap- the larger the number, the longer the wrap.
Each size is 50cm (20”) longer than the previous size.
SIZE 1 = 2.2M (7’2”)
SIZE 2 = 2.7M (8’8”)
SIZE 3 = 3.2M (10’ 8”)
SIZE 4 = 3.7M (12’)
SIZE 5 = 4.2M (13’8)
SIZE 6 = 4.7M (15’4”)
SIZE 7 = 5.2M (17’)
SIZE 8 = 5.7M (18’7”)
SIZE 9 = 6.2M (20’3”)
Each length offers different options for tying, so there isn’t a single size that will ‘fit you.
Your body size will determine how big a wrap you need for tying each specific carry. For example, the Front Wrap Cross Carry is a popular starter carry. Some people will be able to use a size 6 for this carry, but others may need a longer (or shorter) wrap depending on their body and baby size.

Ponchos
Our Ponchos are one size. Height is a bigger factor than dress size when it comes to fit, and they will fit most bodies under 6′ tall! The Poncho is approximately 105cm long at the front, from the base of the neck to the longest taper point (not including the cowl neck), and approx 66cm long at the shoulder, from the base of the neck to the highest point of the hem

Absolute Bobbins:
The main body of the bag is approx 30cm x 30cm x 16cm
The adjustable strap is 180cm to the taper end, and 35cm wide
Wompat:
The zip opening is 30cm wide and the base of the bag is 40cm. It has a depth of approx 30cm and a 10cm wide base.
The adjustable strap is 165cm to the taper end, and 20cm wide

Our website sends an email once we have marked your order as completed but sometimes these emails don’t make it through to your inbox.
If you have an account with us you can check your order status by logging in. A “completed” status means that your order has been shipped. You can also view your tracking number here.
If we are making anything to order for you then we might mark your order on “hold” while we sew it. This is just to help us stay organised at our end of things!
